The Thompsons Are Very Thankful This Year!!

Here are the main things I am thankful for today: my 90-year-old mom and my sisters, Sandra (and Bobby) and Brenda (and Joe); my wonderful wife, Elaine (and her mom); my three children- Brynn (and her husband, Philipp), Mark, & Katie (and her fiance, Zach); my grandchildren Isabella, Alexander, Max, Adrian (all Brynn's), and Elle (Mark's).

On a more personal basis, I suffered a mild stroke last Tuesday (Nov 14) and was life-flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center. I came home Friday night (Nov 17) and am now on the road to complete recovery and am preparing for a trip to Germany on Monday (Nov 27th). (We were planning to stay in Paris a few days but I am still too weak for that walking and climbing stairs in and out of the subway. Next time, maybe. So, we are flying to Paris and Brynn is driving over to get us. Good excuse for her to spend a night in Paris the night before. :) ) The fact that I am able to use my left hand to help type this is rather amazing to me.

Next week I will be sitting at my computer in Germany and watching the TN state championships!
