The Lowcountry and Grand Strand and Pee Dee is still well represented in the state playoffs.

In total, 18 teams from the two Prep RedZone South Carolina zones still have a chance at a state championship following the Round 2 games. And for the most part, most of the following players each made their advancement to the next round look easier than it should have been.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604028' first='Tyler' last='Harris'] QB, [player_tooltip player_id='1012859' first='Karmello' last='Jones'] RB, and [player_tooltip player_id='1360328' first='Preston' last='Fuller'] WR, Cross

Cross is a master at forcing opposing offenses into uncomfortable situations by tackling well and forcing the occasional turnover. And then the offense goes to work. In the Trojans' fourth straight shutout victory and seventh such win of the year, Harris was eight-of-14 for 138 yards and three touchdowns. Jones needed only 12 carries to rush for 127 yards and two scores. And Fuller caught two passes for 78 yards and a score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422632' first='Makel' last='Stephens'] RB, Loris

A forfeit and a first-round playoff bye bought Stephens and the rest of the Lions time to hit the refresh button before their playoffs began. In just his second game in the last five weeks, Stephens took care of business. He needed only 15 carries to rush for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He scored Loris' first points of the 28-21 win over Hanahan 20 seconds into the second quarter on a three-yard run and then added a 79 yarder with under 3 minutes to play in the third quarter.

On the road at Newberry, arguably Dillon's three most consistent players this season again rose to the occasion. Fling had 14 carries for 95 yards and scored a rushing touchdown in each of the first two quarters. Capehart finished with 77 yards and a touchdown on the ground to go along with eight tackles and an interception on defense. And Robertson caught eight passes for 99 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt 47 yards to set the Wildcats up in solid position on an offensive drive.

The Landsharks have started to feel more and more comfortable going to the air as the season progresses. This time, it was Waccamaw who felt Manavian's right arm in a 36-6 Oceanside win. The sophomore was 21-of-28 for 337 yards and three touchdowns. Shaw had 120 of those yards and a touchdown while Virgilio finished with 100 yards and a touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='464881' first='Jayden' last='Sellers'] WR, South Florence

The Bruins ran away from what was a close game at halftime by relying on their biggest offensive weapon. Sellers, a University of South Carolina commitment, caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. And that looked paltry compared to what he did on a variety of runs. The senior has 12 rushes for 227 yards and four touchdowns. That's a cool 332 total yards and five total touchdowns against a nine-win Hilton Head team that hadn't allowed more than 24 points in a game all season.

CLASS 5A, DIVISION II

Avery Weaver QB, West Florence

The platoon quarterback system for the Knights has been working. Weaver, a baseball player starting to discover his football talent, proved it again. After completing 10-of-11 passes for two touchdowns against Spring Valley in the first round, he put up his best game of his career by throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another 49 yards and a score in the 34-3 second-round win against North Myrtle Beach.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036733' first='Henry' last='Rivers'] QB, and [player_tooltip player_id='683478' first='Kayden' last='Bash'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1254100' first='J'Vaariez' last='Sumpter'] WRs, Berkeley

Rivers helped make quick work of Westwood by throwing for 166 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for another 84 yards. Better yet, he completed 10-of-11 passes and only had eight carries. Better than that? He didn't even complete a pass to top receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1158021' first='Kevin' last='Boone'] (661 yards, eight touchdowns). Instead, he turned to Bash (eight receptions, 84 yards, two touchdowns) and Sumpter (two receptions, 82 yards, one touchdown).

CLASS 5A, DIVISION I

[player_tooltip player_id='1215391' first='Jayven' last='Williams'] RB, Summerville

The sophomore just continues to make his first year on the varsity level look better and better. In the 36-13 win over Fort Dorchester, Williams (pictured) finished with 170 yards and a touchdown on the ground and added another touchdown receiving. That boosted him to 1,550 rushing yards this fall. More importantly, he's going into the third round game against Ridge View with five straight multi-touchdown games and six overall on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1148537' first='Jaryn' last='Fox'] RB, Carolina Forest

While Fox is our lone honoree from a losing team, we'd be remiss to not mention his 267 yards and three touchdowns against James Island. The Trojans' defense is known for shutting down the run. And yet Fox still averaged north of 10 yards per carry and his three touchdowns (if you count the three extra points) equated to more points than any team had scored against James Island in more than a month. However, it wasn't enough because…

[player_tooltip player_id='605524' first='Amor' last='Scott'] RB, and Jaysevion Brown DB, James Island

The Trojans' tandem earned their second consecutive Game Balls after somehow outdoing their first-round performances. Scott finished with 23 carries or 196 yards (41 yards more than he had against Wando last week). Brown, after most notably picking off a pass and recording a safety against the Warriors, added two more interceptions and six total tackles against Carolina Forest.
