Missouri Military Academy midfielder Mu Ye (11) dribbles past Valley Park defender Gavin Mann (23) in the MSHSAA Class 1 championship Thursday in St. Charles. The Hawks beat the Colonels 4-0 to win their first title in program history.

Valley Park boys soccer came out of the gates hot and never took its foot off the gas as it raced to a 4-0 victory over Missouri Military Academy in the MSHSAA Class 1 championship Thursday evening in St. Charles.

After a dominant 25-3 season, the Hawks left Hunter Stadium with their first championship trophy in program history.

Valley Park senior William Geary, Missouri’s all-time points leader, finished with two goals and an assist to propel the Hawks to victory.

Just one minute into the match, Hawks senior Joseph Buckman tallied the first goal of the day to kick off the offensive onslaught. Geary followed suit in the third minute with his first score of the match.

Although MMA allowed zero goals in the second half, the Colonels failed to reciprocate Valley Park’s offensive performance.

The Colonels (17-5) reached their first state championship match in program history. MMA averaged four goals per game while allowing an average of 1.3 goals per match in 2024.
