Reversal! Sarah Hildebrandt's Olympic Gold Medal opponent disqualified at weigh in

Women's wrestling at the 2024 Paris Olympics was turned on its head early this morning when India's Vinesh Phogat was disqualified for failing to make weight in the 50 Kg (110-pound) weight class.
Vinesh Phogat was scheduled to face USA's Sarah Hildebrandt in the gold medal match this afternoon.
As a result, Hildebrandt will wrestle Cuba's Yusneylys Guzmán Lopez for the championship, sometime around 1:30 p.m. today.
Guzmán Lopez lost to the Indian wrestler during Tuesday's semifinals, and thus was elevated to the gold medal match.

The sport's governing body, United World Wrestling, issued the following statement:
"Vinesh (Phogat), from India in 50kg, failed the weigh-in on day two of her competition, which has forced United World Wrestling to promote Yusneylis Guzman Lopez (Cuba) to the final of 50kg at the Paris Olympics. She will take on Sarah Hildebrandt (USA) in the final.
According to Article 11 of the International Wrestling Rules:
A.) If an athlete does not attend or fail the weigh-in (the 1st or the 2nd weigh-in), she/he will be eliminated from the competition and ranked last, without rank.
B.) “If one (or more) athletes qualified for the repechages and/or finals don’t attend or fail the weigh-in, the athlete(s) (who successfully passed the second weigh-in) will move to the next round in his (or her) part of the bracket.
Under these rules, Guzman will wrestle for gold while the 50kg will have one less round of repechage and Vinesh's results will be disqualified.
The 50kg bronze medal bout will be between Yui Susaki (Japan) and Oksana Livach (Ukraine)."
Guzmán Lopez was the Pan American champion in 2019, in a season when Hildebrandt did not compete there. Hildebrandt has won seven Pan American titles.
The 50 Kg weight class had already seen upheaval on Tuesday when Japan's Susaki, possibly the most prohibitive favorite in the entire wrestling tournament, was defeated by Vinesh Phogat in the opening round.
