As the fall high school sports season heads into the second half and down the stretch, action in the pool is heating up with big meets that will lead up to the state meet in November. While the first of such meets, the Ridge meet, was rained out on Tuesday, the City of Lakeland Championship survived the weather on Thursday and saw George Jenkins senior Dylan Cardosi set a meet record.

Cardosi heads this weeks list of Tremendous 10 nominees. With the previous week's schedule cut short, this week's list includes performances from the past two weeks. Lake Gibson volleyball player Peyton Hopkins won the previous Tremendous 10 poll from the last week of September with 59.3 percent of the vote. McKeel cross country runner Kinsy Myerwas was second with 31.1 percent of the vote.

The Tremendous 10 poll will be open for voting through noon on Thursday.
